Hey all, I almost forgot to post my thanksgiving shots for the year, my Nephew Dino wants to be a cook when he grows up. He prepared the dishes you see in front of him and others as well. That might explain his apparent unwillingness to share any of the leftovers with anyone as documented in this photo.
I use a photoshop plugin called LucisArt the technique closely resembles the “David Hill” look. There is actually a David Hill group on flicker. I used his technique because I really liked the surreal look but it took me an hour and a half to do one image using his method. Then I found the LucisArt plug-in and now I just tweak the filter to my liking in photoshop. The better you light your subject the better the effect of the filter.
Canon G10, ST-E2 and two remote 580 EX flashes, one of the 580’s was behind me (camera) left bounced into the ceiling and the other was behind the subject camera right high and bounced into the ceiling. The one that was behind the camera was only about 30 degrees of camera axis. The ceiling was white and pitched
